There's a Chinese restaurant not far from where I live has quite nice BBQ pork, even though I wonder sometimes myself why spend time on preparation and an extra 40 minutes in the oven, but when the result comes out with the right sensation on your tongue and in the mouth, you began to admire the magic hands of yourselves, on how you possibly turning a simple piece of pig to a such delightful dish.

This type of pudding is well known as "guay" in Taiwanese language. Food that's made with main ingredient rice flour often been called "guay". Daikon Radish Guay is one very traditional home made celebration food in Chinese New Year, nothing fancy but simply is the best.

It all began with an easy thought is to share my cooking/baking experiences with people that may shown their attention to Taiwanese food culture when the blog first was written. My life before I moved to Australia was never home made bread nor cooking at home, I spent lots time eating out, furthermore, there are frequently package lunch box, sushi, sandwich, salad... which are handy package food you can easily purchase from convenient store (7-11), or any food stands, shops just around the corner of your house. Such dramatic, riveting life style changing is something I can never see it's coming.

This was all the way back before MRT (underground system in Taiwan) was built in Taipei City, there used to be a street named Ta-chun street (塔成街) stands out at least ten different stores selling one same name, it is Taiwanese Beef Noodles.

Wholemeal Pancake

This is how Taiwanese people eating brekkie sometimes, a soft egg rolls, with a glass of soya milk. There are mainly two types of egg rolls, one with a soft light texture which is the one I'm going to introduce shortly, the other one has more dense heavier taste, however, wholemeal pancake has been found quite convenient since I had my bracers on. I believe with the easy light taste, kids and some oldies can also pick up nicely as well.

It's been uncountable times failure to accomplish a good fine soft bread like this loaf.  I often can not resist the rich smell of a fresh baked bread, so in a hurry to slice it off and have a cup of milk tea with it, what could have be more attempting than that?

Trypsin Inhibitor is proteins found in some raw plant foods that can inhibit digestion (e.g. soyabeans). To inactivate Trypsin Inhibitor heat the slurry or puree at or near the boiling point is continued for a period of time, 5-10 minutes.
